Let me say.....this game is amazing! Aside from the teeny tiny sluggish response with the camera it is great. Graphically....this has to be one of the best looking games that I have ever layed eyes on. I love the leveling up in the Crystarium too. They made some changes with that from the first one and it's better. They definitely learned their lesson from FFX-2 and I hope that the rumors about FFXIII-3 turn out to be true, because I want the storyline to continue since Square has made me feel attached to these characters. What do you guys and ladies think?

Ah yes sorry. Right eye closed. Left eye squinted. Right hand smacking. And I left out left hand index finger in the butt. Last part is a must.

I picked it up and I like it alot. The battle system is still fantastic and I really dig the 3rd monster slot, graphically the game is beautiful and I think its an overall better game than XIII. The biggest improvement is in the story execution, its nowhere near as cheesy and this time around everthing is just more fleshed out and coherent. Also, Caius is a far more believable and likable villain than the 30 XIII had. Its the closest Square has come to Chrono Trigger/Cross in a long time and is the best FF since X.

That's what I was worried about. With the time travel, only two main playable characters, and third party member being a chosen monster, it sounds really funky to me. Story sounds like it wouldn't be as good as a main series entry. Hoping it doesn't go with the whole "You fixed time, now nothing you just did happened" bit. But you say it's actually pretty well done?

Either way it appears to be a "get when cheap/on sale game" for me like so many others. I'm more looking forward to XIII Versus.

I've been playing through it, I'm on episode 3. I'm really liking it so far, I like it a lot more than I did FF-13. It's a lot less linear, and the story is so much better.

Haven't really like a FF game since IX.. XII was pretty good.. However I may check this out just out of principle that I have played everyone since VII sans XI...but I never finished XIII.

Overall I'm liking it. I dont like all of the changes though. Yes, the story is a huge improvement and I'm loving that. I'm not liking how confusing is it at times, and get a bit flustered. The little puzzle things, dont rmbr what they're called, are infuriating! I really like the monsters in the party. I like leveling them and infusing them, its a cool addition.

The casino bout drove me insane there for awhile. But after 1500 or so turns (after several reloads) I finally started winning and got up to 27k coins. My friend told me he thought the odds were lower by using auto-play. But I dont think thats the case, as I made my winnings using auto-play. It took forever to get into super victory mode, but once I did I just kept winning and stayed in super for almost 10 minutes.

I did pick up a guide tonight at Gamestop. So if anyone needs help with something, feel free to ask me! Its got TONS of great info.

@Rose....Does the strat guide say where the best place to grind is? I goofed up my leveling up and I need to grind a bit to unlock the synergist and sab roles for Serah. I concentrated on her Ravager and up'd it to 70 something and now I can't beat Caius at the beginning in Oerba. The internet says to have her sab and syn roles for this fight.

I don't see anything saying where to grind for CP, just for monster materials. But if you want my suggestion, I'd suggest Academia 400 AF. Just because of the constant popping of monsters. They get around 300-400 CP every fight which only lasts what, less than 5 seconds a piece. I'll look through it a little more and see if any of the locations say its a good CP grind area. But I'd give Academia a shot. =)

The second land mass in the Achille Steppe is were I've been doing alot of my grinding. If you flip the weather machine to clear the sky (what amounts to spring time) there's a good variety of creatures to fight, all of which are worth a few hundred crystarium points. You could also try your hand at fighting the Long Gui while your there, but that thing is as big a pain as it was in 13. But, worth a few thousand crystarium points if defeated.

I already messaged Siren to tell her, but I thought maybe others would like to know too. I found one location in the book where it says is a good spot to grind for CP. It suggested Academia 500AF. Right in the center of the map, theres a long strip where the monsters have a huge spawn rate, much like Academia 400AF, but for more CP probably. I haven't went to see how CP it actually is though.

A spot I found on my own was in Vile Peaks 10AF. I have the frag skill for spawn rate of monsters, and rolling in CP. I saw that fighting the monsters Haguma and Shaguma, you get just shy of 900 CP points each fight.

Oh, I also thought I'd offer to post all of the skills that you should infuse into your chocobos for racing. You can make a TON of gil chocobo racing. You can also get the collectors catalog, and the stuff you need to make ultimate weapons later on. If anyone wants me to type it up just ask, and I'd be happy to. My chocobo can't be beat!! hehe
