This is the official announcement of PSMtv's Dark Souls Tournament. THIS IS FOR THE XBOX 360. We will aim for the tournament to start at 7:00PM EST on this coming SATURDAY on 1-21-12.

This will be a SOUL LEVEL 120 battle hosted in BLIGHTTOWN at the circular arena at the bottom past the bonfire.

Applicants must have their White AND Red soapstone ready, as well as stock up on Humanity to heal in between fights. Once sign-ups have reached the desired amount, or we get within 24 hours of the tournament... The bracket sheet will be revealed with whom will fight whom until we get our Grand Finale Winner. This bracket list will also tell you if you will be a White/Gold Phantom or a Red Phantom during the given fight, so when your fight comes up... please be aware of this an set down the according sign.

This will be a TEST tournament to see if it is viable for the 360 community, as well as to see if any connectivity issues arise to halt the tournament in its tracks.

THE RULES

• Soul level 120
  
• No build restrictions
  
• All items are viable
  
• Fights will be BEST OUT OF THREE (we will discuss this as a community)
  
• Both fighters will BOW and then the referee (Z) will throw an object or cast a spell into the arena. Once this object or spell goes off, its fight time. If you wish to buff your weapon or eat grass, you may do so once both bows have happened, but if the fight starts mid-buff and you get poked, don't rage. I will give a window of approx. 3-4 seconds after both emotes have happened to make sure both combatants are ready. The combatants CANNOT climb out of the arena or will be DQ'd immediately. It is a fight to the death.

PRIZE
Bragging rights. This is a test tournament so there will not be a prize this go around. However, for next tournaments... we will give out XBL Arcade games, Microsoft Points, etc. This is a TEST tournament to see if it is even viable and if the 360 community is interested. If we get a lot of sign-ups, I will run tournaments and duels regularly on the PSMtv channel.

There's a couple typo's in the above announcement. Like the date for one. It's 1-21-12 not 1-21-11 ... My fault. I typed it up quick and failed to notice a couple of things. HAHA.

It is gonna be a blast! If you have it for XBOX360 you are more than welcome to come out and throw down your sign for some epic fighting. Or you can simply come by and spectate via watching the stream @ PSMTV on twitch! Thanks for the shout-out guys/gals!

I know we have some dark soul players here. Surely some are interested. Though a couple may not be high enough.

My soul level is actually too high to do this. I am probably gonna create a new character soon, but getting to soul level 120 takes about 60 hours.

After the tourney, they hold a fight club. They try out different builds with different weapons and armor. You could still do that, or wait until Z creates a higher level tourney.

If this idea becomes more widely known with a bunch of people wanting to participate, I'm sure we can definitely start holding brackets for all level ranges.
Jordan (a.k.a. Z) really wants to spread the word about Dark Souls and PSMtv.
